Navigational Scatters are a fun type event where competitors can learn about map reading and are one of the first stepping stones to other motorsport events.
Competitors are given a random selection of locations to visit; there are no tests or timing other than reporting to the finish by a specified time. The emphasis is on navigation and crews must visit NO MORE THAN 75% of the locations listed in the instructions.
The event will start from Barnes Auto Engineering, Unit 4, Four Crosses, Menai Bridge, LL59 5RP and use O.S. Map 114 (Anglesey) for a Sunday afternoon navigational event around the island, collecting points from pre-plotted locations within a 3-4 hour time slot. This is not a speed event; the emphasis is on navigational skill and enjoying the day. There will be a minimum of two people per crew and families are welcome. Whoever collects the most points wins.
Please see regulations in early September for more information.
