There was an excellent turnout for this evening of Table Top Navigation and Rally Preparation with over forty members in attendance, including some experienced competitors and organisers who were on hand to assist those who needed some guidance.
With the 'Barnes Auto Engineering' Valentine Rally only two weeks away, this was a great opportunity for competitors to brush up on the requirements, which included the importance of being familiar with the event regulations, as well as some plotting practice and understanding time cards.
The organising team of the Valentine had been meeting during the evening to finalise their plans and Clerk of the Course of the Valentine, Paul Morris, then gave a presentation to explain what competitors could expect when turning up for the event.
Our chairman, Huw Gwyn Jones, must be thanked for organising the evening and taking time to prepare the maps, plotting information, time cards and so on.

The plan for the evening is to cover documentation and the importance of an event's Supplementary Regulations and the MSA Yearbook ('Blue Book'); plotting practice; time cards; vehicle preparation; and a Question & Answer session to finish.
Copies of the appropriate map and romers will be supplied, but you will need a pencil and probably a good idea to bring an eraser as well!
