Report

Many thanks once again to Lee Matthews for this report and compiling the results.

Ten crews assembled inside the classroom at David Hughes Sports Centre, Menai Bridge for Sion’s last Navigation Run of the winter series. Signing on was overseen by Dafydd, Endaf and Lee, then crews set about plotting a route which was defined by the usual Tulips and some six figure map references.
The route used much of the north-west of the Anglesey, with fantastic roads and scenery.
With the daylight-saving hours coming into effect, the crews would be challenged with sunset light limiting their sight at times, making the symbols possibly more difficult to find. Once the crews had reached NAM 1 (Not As Map) the sun had started to disappear, back into darkness for the second half of the route.
Results were once again close, with the aid of some sneaky symbols covered by some freshly sprouted weeds, well done Emyr and Duncan on the win, to all that entered we thank you, commiserations to Winnie and John who got a lot of symbols but took too long admiring the views and being ill at the roadside.
Thank you to David Hughes Sports Centre and the Church Bay Inn for using their facilities and to Endaf Davies and Dafydd edwards for the signing-on duties.

Many thanks to Sion and Lee Matthews for their commitment to our Navigation Runs and ensuring that we have had a great series of eight events from September through to April.
